Komusubi Debut Atamifuji

Atamifuji is the first newly promoted Komusubi from Isegahama Stable since the current stablemaster inherited it. The previous one was Takarafuji, promoted in July 2015. The previous newly promoted Komusubi from Shizuoka Prefecture was Tenryu back in the summer tournament of 1930.

Juryo Return Shimazuumi

Shimazuumi returns to Juryo. He previously held a rank here in January 2025.

Juryo Debut Fujitensei

Fujitensei is the first Juryo debutant from Fujishima Stable since Fujiryoga, promoted in November 2025. He is the 34th Rikishi from Kagoshima Prefecture post WWII to achieve this, following Shimazuumi, promoted in March 2022.

Juryo Debut Toshinofuji

Toshinofuji is the first Juryo debutant from Isegahama Stable since the current stablemaster inherited it. The previous one was Yoshinofuji, promoted in March last year. He is also the 42nd Mongolian-born Rikishi to achieve this, following Dewanoryu, promoted in the January 2026. Additionally, Toshinofuji is the fourth former student of Doshisha University to be promoted to Juryo, following Oikari, who achieved this in May 1997.

Makuuchi Return Kotoeiho

Kotoeiho returns to Makuuchi. He previously held a rank here in July 2025.

Makuuchi Debut Fujiryoga

Fujiryoga is the 19th Rikishi from Aichi Prefecture to make his Makuuchi debut post WWII, following Akiseyama, who was promoted in March 2016. He is also the fifth former student of Takushoku University to make his Makuuchi debut. The previous one was Asahakuryu, promoted in January 2026.

Makuuchi Debut Fujiseiun

Fujiseiun is the 22nd Rikishi from Kumamoto Prefecture to make his Makuuchi debut post WWII, following Kusano (current Yoshinofuji), who was promoted in July last year. He is the sixth former student of Meiji University to achieve this, following Buyuzan, who was promoted in November 2001.

Komusubi Wakamotoharu

Wakamotoharu remains Komusubi for two consecutive tournaments.

Sekiwake Takayasu

Takayasu remains Sekiwake for two, and in Sanyaku for six consecutive tournaments.

Sekiwake Kirishima

Kirishima stays Sekiwake, as well as in sanyaku, for the second consecutive tournament.
